Chevrolet Aveo Sedan

Chevrolet Aveo Sedan

The Chevrolet Aveo Sedan is a 4.3 m long and four-door body. It has a gasoline engine of 94 HP, replaces the Kalos car with four doors. The Kalos three-or five-door selling is still unchanged.

2006 Chevrolet Aveo Sedan

Chevrolet Aveo Sedan

The Chevrolet Aveo Sedan is interesting for those who seek a car with an economic and satisfactory quality of finish in relation to their price. It is not for anyone interested in with good dynamic qualities.

2006 Chevrolet Aveo Sedan

Chevrolet Aveo Sedan

Enough space for four occupants. The best figure of all is the height in the front seats, in the rest of the measurements is not particularly large. The Chevrolet Aveo Sedan has a trunk of 400 liters (25 l of more than 4d Kalos), a normal volume for its size.

2006 Chevrolet Aveo Sedan

Chevrolet Aveo Sedan

The spare wheel is emergency in the hole can be a normal size. The success of the trunk is good for a four-door car, sometimes the Chevrolet Aveo Sedan trunk lid instead of an access gate is too narrow to boot.

2006 Chevrolet Aveo Sedan

Chevrolet Aveo Sedan

The Chevrolet Aveo Sedan is available in two equipment levels "LS" and "LT". The 'LS' costs € 11,500 and standard power steering, two front airbags (the passenger off, a novelty in Chevrolet), remote control, front electric windows and CD player with 'MP3'. Option is in the air conditioning (1,000 €) and metallic paint.

2006 Chevrolet Aveo Sedan

Chevrolet Aveo Sedan

The version "LT" is on sale for € 13,500 and, in addition to the above, two side airbags, six speakers, radio controls on the steering wheel, air conditioning, fog lights, trip computer and steering wheel wrapped in leather. You can take an automatic gearbox for 990 €.

2006 Chevrolet Aveo Sedan

Chevrolet Aveo Sedan

The above prices are list price. Chevrolet still has not provided the discount when you will start to sell. Based on list price, the Chevrolet Aveo Sedan is not particularly cheap compared to other models if they have applied the discount, such as KIA Rio Hyundai Accent 4d or 4d. Currently the range Lacetti and Nubira have a € 1,300 discount on list price.

2006 Chevrolet Aveo Sedan

Chevrolet Aveo Sedan

With respect to a Kalos, interior and coatings are completely new (the radio is fully integrated into the console) and gives more feeling of quality.

2006 Chevrolet Aveo Sedan

Chevrolet Aveo Sedan

All interior materials are tough, but they have a treatment that gives a matte and a welcome end to the touch. There are certain plastics (like the edge of the indicators of the instrumentation and some roulette sound system and ventilation) that have a chrome finish. Versions' LT 'plastic surfaces are painted in gray, mimicking the tone of certain metals.

Chevrolet Aveo Sedan

Dynamically, the Chevrolet Aveo Sedan is not a very good car. The 94 hp engine is not a smooth operation in all cases. Nor has such a great touch, as many modern cars.

Chevrolet Aveo Sedan

The engine does not give much strength to power at any time and, while giving maximum power to a relatively high (6,200 rpm), gives the impression that it costs to turn quickly in these circumstances the engine is noisy and vibrates. This engine has variable intake.

Chevrolet Aveo Sedan

The Chevrolet Aveo Sedan 1.4 has little capacity to respond in gear because the development of transmission is very long. With 185/55 R15 tires, the development is done to the Chevrolet Aveo Sedan to reach top speed in fourth scheme and maximum power. Development and promotes the long drive is not noisy at speed and not sustained spent a lot (we have not tested), but necessitates the use of the gearbox frequently to maintain a certain pace.

2010 GeigerCars Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid Tri-mode

With its Chevrolet Tahoe hybrid version, General Motors now offers the perfect synergy of space, eight-cylinder-power and economy. But why should we be content with this if we can get even more economic and environmentally compatible? GeigerCars.de now offers the Tahoe Hybrid even with an LPG system.

With its "two mode" function, the Tahoe saves money even in its ex works condition. On the one hand, the SUV has a 6.0 litre aluminium-V8 for powerful 332 PS at 5,100 rpm and a torque of more than 498 Newton metres at 4,100 rpm. On the other hand, the motor has an automatic cylinder deactivation system to temporarily switch off one bank if it isn't needed to save more fuel. GM's engineers now combined this advanced technology with an electric drive including a regenerative braking system and completely combustion-free starting after stops, making the large Chevy the first serial hybrid SUV ever at the time of its introduction on the market at the end of 2007. With this kind of motor, the hybrid offers a fuel consumption of approx. 11 litres per 100 kilometres ex works, which is a remarkable value in a vehicle of this size and with these luxurious transport capacities.

"Two-Mode" becomes "Tri-Mode"

GeigerCars.de now goes one step further in terms of economy. The US-car-specialist from Munich now also offers the Tahoe Hybrid with an LPG system, turning the Chevy from a "two-mode" vehicle into a "tri-mode" SUV, combining traditional fuel, electric drive and LPG in a single car. Its gas tank can hold 109 litres so that it can travel quite adequate distances. With this equipment, GeigerCars.de even manages to cut the effective fuel costs in half at the current price for LPG. This definitely adds an additional incentive for purchasing the visually appealing Chevy Tahoe hybrid with its great equipment. Geigercars.de charges a fair price of 56,000 Euros for the serial version. The LPG system installed subsequently in Munich, including all ancillary costs, makes for another one-term payment of 4,000 Euros.

The Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport combines the Corvette's LS3-based powertrain with unique, wide-body styling and a racing-bred suspension for a distinctive model that delivers a great balance of road and race track performance. It is offered in both coupe and convertible body styles, with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The LS3 6.2L engine is rated at 430 horsepower (321 kW) and 424 lb.-ft. of torque (575 Nm) with the standard exhaust system. An optional two-mode exhaust system elevates the power ratings to 436 horses (325 kW) and 428 lb.-ft. (580 Nm).

The Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport replaces the Corvette's previous Z51 package and brings a greater degree of handling performance, with wider wheels and tires; revised shock, stabilizer bar and spring specifications; and specific gearing. The equipment enables cornering capability of 1.0 g, as well as a 0.2-second improvement in 0-60 acceleration vs. standard LS3-powered models.

Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport coupe models equipped with the manual transmission are uniquely outfitted for race track competition, too, with a dry-sump oiling system, differential cooler and a rear-mounted battery.

The complete list of content and special features for the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport includes:

Wider front and rear fenders - including specific front fenders with integrated Grand Sport badges
Z06-style front splitter and tall rear spoiler
Functional brake ducts and extra cooling
Unique 18-inch front and 19-inch rear wheels; painted finish standard and chrome finish optional
Large 275/35ZR18 tires in front and 325/30ZR19 tires in the rear
Z06-size brakes, including 14-inch (355 mm) front rotors with six-piston calipers and 13.4-inch (340 mm) rear rotors with four-piston calipers
Specific manual transmission gear ratios
Specific rear axle ratio on automatic-equipped models
With its special equipment, the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport offers a unique blend of performance and amenities. Its suspension package approaches that of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, but includes a removable roof on coupes (Z06 has a fixed roof) and, of course, the availability of a convertible body style. Also, the paddle-shift six-speed automatic transmission is offered, while a manual transmission is the only choice with the Z06.

All of Corvette's exterior colors are offered on the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport, and an available Heritage package adds iconic front fender hash marks offered in four colors, as well as two-tone seats with Grand Sport embroidery. The Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport can be ordered with 1LT, 2LT, 3LT and 4LT trim packages, too.

Grand Sport history

Envisioned by legendary Corvette engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov as a factory-built, lightweight and race-ready production model that would trump domestic and foreign road-racing competitors, the original Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport was a promising idea that led to the production of five special prototypes in 1963. The project was later shelved, following GM's agreement to stay out of manufacturer-backed motorsports.

The five prototypes were based on the styling of the 1963 Corvette and were hand-assembled under Duntov's watchful eye. But while they looked like production models, the prototypes were purpose-built race cars that shared little with their assembly-line cousins. Duntov also oversaw the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport engine program that featured a special, 377-cubic-inch small-block V-8 with side-draft carburetors.

Although never officially sanctioned by General Motors, the five Grand Sport prototypes saw extensive racing experience throughout the 1960s in the hands of "private" racers who had strong contacts within Duntov's engineering circle. All five original cars are accounted for today and are among the most valuable in the collector market.
